Our Remedial Massage Techniques & Styles

At Lifestyle Healthcare, we utilise a variety of massage techniques to help remediate specific issues. Each technique is tailored to meet your individual needs, ensuring that we address the root cause of your discomfort while promoting overall health and relaxation.

Deep Tissue Massage

This technique focuses on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It is particularly effective for chronic pain, muscle tension, and stiffness. The firm pressure applied helps release muscle tightness and improve overall mobility.

Sports Massage

Ideal for those who engage in physical activity, sports massage targets muscle groups that are commonly affected by exercise. It helps improve flexibility, prevent injuries, and aid in recovery after intense physical activity.

Relaxation Massage

This type of massage is about relieving tension, calming the nervous system and mind. This style is lighter in pressure and more flowing focusing on reducing mental fatigue, stress, easing discomfort and improving circulation, sleep rejuvenating your mind and body.

Fascial Stretch Therapy

Fascia Stretch Therapy is a pain free active stretching style that aims to decompress the body by targeting fascia and joints through different positions and ranges of motion while being strapped down to the table. By focusing on breath and calming the nervous system the body gently unwinds as the stretching helps to increase range of motion, reduce pain and tightness. This is a standalone treatment or can be used as a technique within a treatment.

Intraoral Massage

This technique targets the muscles inside the mouth and jaw, helping to treat issues like jaw pain (TMJ), headaches, and neck pain. It can be especially helpful for those experiencing muscle tightness related to teeth grinding or jaw clenching.

Pregnancy Massage

This is for pregnant women in any stage of pregnancy. There are options for pressure, techniques and positioning,  allowing for a very tailored treatment. This can help with numbness, tingling, muscle pain, swelling, fatigue and other symptoms common with pregnancy.

Breast Massage & Rehabilitation

This is a treatment that works with breast tissue to help with circulation, muscle pain and restrictions, rehabilitation from surgeries, scar tissue and soreness. This helps to open up the entire chest and breathing along with feeling lighter and reducing tension and stress. This can be a stand alone treatment and or can be added into a massage.

Soft Tissue Release

This is a technique involving the application of pressure to muscle tissue as it is actively and or passively moved through its range, releasing deep tension and restrictions.

Myofascial Cupping

This technique is a style of cupping that uses plastic and or silicone cups to create a vacuum on the skin which helps to lift and separate tissue to reduce restrictions. This style leave little to no bruises. Cups can be slid across the tissue or stationary and clients can be actively moving to enhance the treatment.

Dolphin MPS Therapy

Dolphin MPS (Microcurrent Point Stimulation) Therapy is an advanced electrostimulation technique used to target scars, pain, and muscle dysfunction. This non-invasive treatment promotes healing, reduces pain, and improves mobility by stimulating specific points in the body.
